Physical Demands Description (PDD) Toolkit

Developed by: OHCOW (Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers)

Description: A resource to help workplace ergonomics and health & safety practitioners create and complete physical demands descriptions (PDDs). PDDs are a way to describe the physical demands of a job in a systematic way that uses common language across workplaces. Information is provided about what a PDD is used for, who needs to refer to one, and how to complete it (through the expandable menus at the bottom). PDDs don’t directly assess risks, but can be used as part of another risk assessment tool.

Keywords: demands, assessment, risk, exposure, needs, job, task, employers, medical
