We are working to continuously develop the Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) Prevention Guideline. Watch for new content, including more resources and case studies. We depend on companies and practitioners to share case studies of MSD prevention interventions. Please contact us if you have a case study that would be helpful to share with others to prevent MSD!

CRE-MSD has a new resource available called the ‘Ontario Ergonomics Intervention Cost-Benefit Calculator’ that uses injury cost data from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) to calculate the annual savings and payback period for ergonomic interventions. To use the calculator, you will input injury data for your organization from the last three years, the costs associated with the ergonomic intervention, the effectiveness of the solution, and potential productivity improvements associated with the intervention. The calculator will output total estimated annual savings, estimated net benefits of the intervention, and the payback period for the intervention.
This calculator is based on the Washington State Ergonomics calculator, created by Richard Goggins. Watch Rick’s talk where he gives an example of how to use the calculator
