CRE-MSD has a new resource available called the ‘Ontario Ergonomics Intervention Cost-Benefit Calculator’ that uses injury cost data from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) to calculate the annual savings and payback period for ergonomic interventions. To use the calculator, you will input injury data for your organization from the last three years, the costs associated with the ergonomic intervention, the effectiveness of the solution, and potential productivity improvements associated with the intervention. The calculator will output total estimated annual savings, estimated net benefits of the intervention, and the payback period for the intervention.
